The PROTAG manufacturing facility in Brunssum consists of two fully equiped DESMA injection units and a semi automated lasting and cementing unit. The annual production capacity is 750.000 pairs. Further expansion in the next few years is anticipated.
PROTAG has adapted methods like LEAN and Quick Response Manufacturing. As a result the workforce is flexible; it adpats quickly between several models and shoe brands. The engineers at the in-house mould shop are trained to monitor, maintain and repair the lasts, moulds and tooling to enable a clean and high quality sole injection process.
